Get Gordon? More like Get Gellin’.

We’ve all seen the billboards. We’ve all heard the jingle. And if you’ve been within 100 miles of LSU during a playoff run, you’ve probably shouted GET GORDON, AND GET IT DONE at least once, unprovoked.

But now? The man, the myth, the marketing machine has a new title: Jell‑O Shot King of the Bayou.

How Did We Get Here?

Back in 2023, LSU fans made Rocco’s Jell‑O Shot Challenge a national headline by downing 68,888 shots, obliterating every school in the College World Series by a margin so disrespectful it may still be illegal in some states.

Who helped lead that purple-fueled crusade? None other than Gordon McKernan, personal injury lawyer turned vodka-fueled philanthropist, who dropped $10,000 to fuel the gelatin-based chaos — all in the name of Tiger pride and charity.

This Ain’t a Lawsuit — It’s a Legacy

We don’t know what they’re putting in the shots at Rocco’s (besides high-proof regret and childhood memories of grape Jell‑O), but we do know this:

Gordon’s got more NIL deals than most athletic departments. He’s on TV more than the weather.

And now he’s sponsoring bar tabs like a Cajun Robin Hood with a law degree.

What’s Next for the Gellin’ King?

We’re not saying Gordon needs to show up in Omaha this year wearing a Jell‑O crown and a bedazzled LSU cape...

But also, yeah, maybe we are saying that.

In fact, if he launches a “Get Gellin’” campaign with Tiger‑striped shots, we’ll be first in line — mostly to document it, but also, you know… to support charity.

The Pelican Pick Verdict?

Gordon McKernan is officially more than a lawyer. He’s a brand. A hype man.And in the summer of LSU baseball, he is the gelatin-fueled chaos we didn’t know we needed.

So if you hear “Get Gordon!” echoing through Omaha this week, don’t assume it’s for legal advice.

It might just be last call at Rocco’s.
